‎গাইবান্ধার সাঘাটা উপজেলার কামালেরপাড়া ইউনিয়ন বিএনপির নির্বাচনী অফিসের সামনে থেকে একটি ব্যাগভর্তি ককটেল সদৃশ বস্তু উদ্ধার করেছে সেনাবাহিনী।

8 – 2 – 2026 ইং ‎রোববার (দুপুরে) বারকোনা বাজারসংলগ্ন বিএনপির স্থানীয় নির্বাচনী অফিসের সামনে সন্দেহজনক একটি ব্যাগ পড়ে থাকতে দেখে স্থানীয়রা পুলিশকে খবর দেন।

খবর পেয়ে সাঘাটা থানা পুলিশ দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পুরো এলাকা ঘিরে ফেলে এবং জনসাধারণকে নিরাপদ দূরত্বে সরিয়ে নেয়।

‎পরবর্তীতে সেনাবাহিনীর একটি দল ঘটনাস্থলে উপস্থিত হয়ে নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা জোরদার করে। সেনাবাহিনীর উপস্থিতিতে ওই ব্যাগ থেকে ককটেল সদৃশ বস্তু উদ্ধার করা হয়। পরে বস্তুটি সাঘাটা থানায় নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।

‎সাঘাটা থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মাহবুব রহমান বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, উদ্ধারকৃত ককটেল সদৃশ বস্তুটি থানায় নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে।

বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব সহকারে দেখা হচ্ছে এবং বোমা নিষ্ক্রিয়করণ ইউনিটকে অবহিত করা হয়েছে।

‎ঘটনার পর এলাকায় অতিরিক্ত সতর্কতা জারি করা হয়েছে এবং এ বিষয়ে আইনগত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের প্রক্রিয়া চলমান রয়েছে।
